Training
When parents, carers and educators increase their skills and knowledge, it can have great benefits for both them and their children.
Our therapists can deliver training to family members, service providers or other people involved in the lives of children, with or without disabilities. The aim of our training is to ensure that all children receive the best care, based on latest evidence-based practice. We offer individual and group classes on a number of topics, including:
Key word sign basic workshops, provided by a certified KWS presenter from Key Word Sign Australia – in person or online
Early movement and communication for babies
Supports to develop safe eating and drinking
Early communication development and gestalt language processing
How to support understanding and expressive language in children in group settings
These courses are ideal for new parents' groups, healthcare professionals, support workers, childcare and kinder educators, and anyone else involved in the care of children.
